A Level Philosophy (ALP) provides conferences on philosophy and religious studies for Years 12 and 13. We host conferences for students and and INSET days for teachers, and also organizes talks and conferences in schools.
Our conferences are designed for teachers and students of the AS and A2 level exams in AQA philosophy, and AQA, OCR, and Edexcel philosophy of religion and ethics, as well as the International Baccalaureate. We use some of the best speakers in the country, with considerable experience of philosophy at this level. But don't take our word for it: You can read what students and teachers have thought of our past events.
ALP also hosts the UK's premier on-line collection of resources for A level philosophy. With reading lists covering each main area of philosophy studied at A level, over 220 handouts, over 90 PowerPoint presentations, over 50 links, and a Discussion Forum for teachers, we hope there is something for everybody studying or teaching any form of philosophy in school.

Revision textbook
If you haven't bought Michael Lacewing's new textbook Revise Philosophy for AS Level (with contributions by Jean-Marc Pascal), you can buy it online from Routledge.
Handouts
Our Handouts Library was updated 1 September. There are now over 220 handouts and 90 PowerPoint presentations available. If you haven't taken out a subscription yet, it's worth thinking about!
Discussion Forum
The Discussion Forum, launched in September 2005, has a number of on-going exchanges of thoughts and information. This is the place to get in touch with other teachers, find advice, share your thoughts (and sob stories!), and find out who else is teaching philosophy in your area. The more you use it, the better it will be.
Private tuition
Our 'Jobs' page is the place to look for private tutors in A level philosophy and religious studies. If you want to advertise with us, please contact us.
